1. Works in Progress:

1.1   General site clearance.

1.2   Removal of river bed material.

2. Air Quality:

2.1 Fugitive dust generated by site traffic noted.

Recommendations:

-          The haul road shall be sprayed with water.

-          The load on the vehicle shall be covered entirely by clean impervious sheeting.

-          Manual wheel washing facilities shall be provided at all exits in the period of construction of wheel wash bay.

3. Noise:

3.1 No significant construction noise noted.

Recommendations:

-          None at present.

4. Waste Management:

4.1 The accumulation of general site clearance waste noted.

4.2 No chemical waste storage area observed.

Recommendations:

-          Remove the waste in a regular basis. 

-          Design and construct a chemical waste storage area according to the COP issued by EPD.   

5. Water Quality:

5.1 Stagnant water noted near site office.

Recommendations:

-          Removal of stagnant water as soon as practicable.

6. Status and Performance of Mitigation Measures:

6.1 Wheel wash facilities provided at one of the exit.

Recommendations:

-          Manual wheel washing facilities shall be provided at all exits in the period of construction of wheel wash bay.

-          The stockpiles shall be covered if they will not be removed in a short period.
